Suzy Johnson—Administrative Assistant

Suzy is a key member of Allegheny Design Services and serves as the Administrative Assistant, providing vital support to the Structural Engineers and the Office Manager.

Suzy started in October of 2013 and has been with Allegheny Design Services for twelve years.

She specializes in managing data for transmittals and submittals, leveraging her expertise with several construction management software programs to ensure seamless project coordination, such as Procore, Trimble Viewpoint, Smartsheet & Oracle submittal Exchange.

These platforms are essential to large-scale projects, facilitating drawing transmissions, analysis reviews, RFIs, and related documentation workflows. Beyond her core responsibilities, Suzy handles marketing documentation, prepares detailed marketing packages for job bidding, maintains comprehensive project profiles, and oversees the company’s social media presence.

Suzy’s professional background reflects a diverse skill set. She was a licensed Property & Casualty and Life & Health Insurance Agent with extensive industry experience. Prior, she spent a decade with Olan Mills Portrait Studios as a Professional Photographer and Area Manager, where she supervised operations for 12 studios across West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Maryland.

Her career also includes experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and procurement. Notably, she served as a Purchasing Agent for a leading manufacturing company that produced uniforms for all 32 professional NFL teams, as well as NBA, MLB, and NHL organizations, and collaborated with major brands such as Nike and Under Armour.

Beyond her professional achievements, Suzy is an honorary member of the Boothsville Volunteer Fire Department, a meaningful connection as her son has proudly served there as a Volunteer Firefighter for 17 years.

Throughout her varied career, she brings to Allegheny Design Services a strong foundation in customer service, daily operational skills, and cross-industry experience.
